I actually find it amusing that the organizers of tonight’s debates chose UNF as the venue. The school itself was basically a hippie commune when it was founded in the 70’s. Scandalous stories about professors, both past and present, still circulate from time to time. At one point, the College of Arts & Sciences staff basically set up a Swingers Party and a few of the marriages were dissolved after the University Prez found out about it.
Also, roughly 70% of the school’s property is considered conservation land for the Gopher Tortoise and part of the watershed for Goodby’s Creek, something those pesky environmental regulations set up, but the school is VERY proud of it.
There will probably a bunch of Ron Paul nutters around. He was really popular back in 2008 and I’m pretty sure those idiots never graduated. Also, crazy Quran-burner Terry Jones is probably going to be around somewhere causing some trouble. Should be interesting.
